    Census is seeking a talented individual with expertise in demography, statistics, and/or data science to lead the development and deployment efforts for the Demographic Frame. As the Senior Technical Lead, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coherence and harmonization of data, processes, and methodologies. Your role will involve coordinating cross-directorate efforts, communicating the project's vision to stakeholders, and facilitating integration with other Census Bureau Frames. (GS 14)

    RISE (Reparations, Institutions and Structures, and Economic Justice) at iF, a Foundation for Radical Possibility,  is seeking an intern to conduct a literature review in support of the development of Let’s GO DMV!’s advocacy strategy for government policies and programs that advance economic justice. Let’s GO DMV! is a guaranteed income pilot program that provides direct cash to hospitality workers in the DC region who were and are still impacted by the desperate economic effects of COVID-19.

    Undergraduate (seniors only) or graduate level enrolled at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), Howard University or Bowie State University. The student will be paid $22/hour and will work 20 hours per week during the summer.

    The Washington Center for Equitable Growth seeks to deepen its understanding of how inequality affects economic growth and stability. Through its grantmaking, it aims to support research that will generate actionable insights for policymakers.

    The Center is currently requesting proposals for research that will equip federal policymakers with evidence of the effectiveness of the fiscal response to the COVID-19 recession in generating better macroeconomic outcomes and in generating better and more equitable outcomes for working-age individuals in the United States.

    They are primarily interested in research focused on policy interventions from March 2020 to March 2021, such as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security, or CARES, Act and the American Rescue Plan Act. The research should provide policymakers with actionable insights to inform effective policies to address future recessions.

    The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. EDT on Monday, May 20, 2024.

    The Pew Research Center in Washington, DC, is offering graduate student internships  for approximately eight weeks during the summer of 2024. Social science graduate students with an interest in religion, demography and/or international research are strongly encouraged to apply.

    You will assist demography of religion team members on research related to the religious composition and demographic characteristics of religious groups in every nation for 2010 and 2020.

    This position can be 100% remote. Candidates must be able to legally work in the United States and reside in one of the 17 places the Center is set up as an employer. Pay for this position is $25/hour for 300 hours (about 8 weeks at 37.5 hours/week).
