    "VPG Health, a business unit of Vector Psychometric Group, is currently recruiting a Qualitative Research Associate to join our Patient-Centered Research team. This person will conduct qualitative research to support the development of clinical outcomes assessments (COAs) with a focus on patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in health and well-being. Primary responsibilities for this position are to manage study activities; communicate with clinical sites and vendors; execute patient-centered qualitative data collection and analysis tasks, such as interviews and literature reviews; prepare concise analytic summaries of collected data; and participate in interpretation and application of qualitative data to meet project aims.

    Required Experience: Master’s degree in a health-related discipline with coursework in qualitative methodology, or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.

    "The Schomburg-Mellon Humanities Summer Institute is a four-week fellowship program is open to rising college seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The deadline to apply is February 6, 2026. The program will take place from June 1–26, 2026. 

    "The in-person summer institute will provide archival research at the Schomburg Center, dormitory housing, meals each day, and a stipend for 10 rising college seniors. There is no virtual format offered. 

    "The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (New York Public Library) and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation created the Schomburg-Mellon Humanities Summer Institute to encourage students of color and others with interests in African-American, African, and African Diaspora Studies to pursue PhDs in the humanities."

    REU Site:Undergraduate Research in Population Studies and the Legal System

    "The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program hosts twelve very select undergraduates from around the United States for 8 weeks during the summer and introduces them to careers in social science through an intense program to conduct research that contributes to our scientific understanding of race and ethnicity and the demography of the criminal justice system with relevance for research, policy, and practice. The program features seminars on racial and ethnic differences in exposure to and impacts of criminal justice contact and educational, economic, health, political, and social inequalities of the U.S. population. In addition to the seminars, REU participants will be introduced to research ethics and  different methods of inquiry on the causes and consequences of justice system involvement at the UT Population Research Center (PRC).

    "This program is open to US citizens and permanent residents. Undergraduates who have completed requirements for sophomore or junior standing are eligible to apply, with the ideal time for REU being the summer between the junior and senior year. We would like to encourage applications from students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate programs in the social sciences and adjacent fields and from groups historically underrepresented in graduate education. We would like to encourage applications from undergraduates at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HIS) in Texas, and students who have been acutely impacted by the criminal justice system. A letter of reference from a nominating faculty member will also be given serious weight in our selection decisions."

    "The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) seeks undergraduate students for the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program.

    "You must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident able to provide proof on your application. You must be a full-time undergraduate student in an accredited two-year or four-year college in the U.S. First-year undergraduates and graduating seniors (seniors participating in the Winter or Spring Commencement) are eligible and encouraged to apply to the program.

    "In 2026, we expect to provide $7,810 for the 11-week summer stipend ($710 per week). If you’re participating in person, you’ll need to find your own housing. We will share a list of affordable housing options when you’re selected. Limited financial assistance for housing ($4,500) and travel (up to $500) is available for students who need to relocate for the summer. In-person local participants may receive support for commuting (varies) assistance."

    "At the Institute for Research on Innovation & Science (IRIS), you'll join a small, mission-driven team that works closely with universities and state and federal partners to develop reliable data and practical insights about research and workforce dynamics. Our work environment is collaborative, innovative, and grounded in steady engagement with community and institutional partners. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Jason Owen-Smith and a national group of collaborators to develop and expand the Industries of Ideas (IofI) project. IofI combines new data on research and training investments in AI in universities with data on jobs, earnings, education, and skills. IofI produces timely, local, and actionable information because it partners with local experts to identify pressing local questions and develop indicators that can be used to support proactive decisions. Trust is critical, so the IofI approach is to provide clear, transparent, and open standards produced with partners, and develop clear trust metrics for each product. IofI was recently funded for three years by the National Science Foundation Technology, Innovation & Partnerships (NSF-TIP) directorate."

    Ph.D. in a social science, information science, science and engineering, or policy field required. This is a term-limited position for two years, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance, conduct, continued availability of work, and funding.

    "The AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability is awarded annually to deserving  students with a disability who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in an accredited university. This scholarship recognizes students pursuing studies related to health and disability, particularly majors that will impact the quality of life of persons with disabilities.

    "Scholarships are generally for $1,000 but amounts are at the discretion of the AAHD Board of Directors Scholarship Committee and based on availability of funds. The Scholarship Committee will evaluate each of the applicants and will determine how many scholarships will be awarded each year and the amount of each scholarship. The final date for 2025-2026 application submissions is March 6, 2026. Scholarships will be awarded by August 2026, at which time recipients will be notified by email on the status of their application."

    "The Urban Institute Health Policy Center seeks a Research Assistant to contribute to research projects related to health care access and use, maternal and child health, and sexual and reproductive health. 

    "The Health Policy Center provides research, evaluation and technical assistance on the implementation of health-related policies at the federal, state, and local levels.  Researchers also assess the impact of these policies on various stakeholders and communities, and seek to understand how policies can better meet their needs.  

    "The Urban Institute's Health Policy Center is looking for a Research Assistant to support senior researchers on a large research project studying reproductive health access and experiences and other projects related to reproductive and maternal health. Project work will include a variety of general and qualitative research and analytic assignments."

    Required: Bachelor's degree in public policy, public health, sociology, political science, the liberal arts/ humanities, or related fields and 0-2 years of experience in a research or analyst role.
