Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor, UMBC

The Sociology Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor position. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in sociology or a related field, but those with a master’s degree may be considered. Candidates should have proven undergraduate teaching experience as the instructor of record. This is a one-year/two-semester appointment (Fall 2025 to Spring 2026).

The review of applications begins on April 1, 2025. Priority consideration will be given to applicants who have complete dossiers by April 1, 2025, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
