"Nationwide Iranian protests and a subsequent massacre have killed thousands of people in Iran. After 47 years, the Islamic Republic is facing an existential crisis. Its economy has collapsed, its regional influence has severely diminished, and externally it faces the possibility of an American/Israeli military attack. More importantly, after the January protests and mass killing of thousands of people, the Islamic Republic faces a massive legitimacy crisis. Can it survive this critical moment? Join us for a conversation with two leading scholars of Iran from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University."
