The new ASA Community for Sociologists in Prison Education is hosting a zoom panel on December 6 at 3 pm Eastern about "Teaching in Carceral Settings." A panel of seasoned instructors will share their insights, tips, and tricks for teaching in a variety of carceral settings. Whether you are hoping to become an instructor in a carceral program, already have experience teaching in this setting, or are simply curious what prison education is all about, please join us on Zoom! The panelists will be Carla Barrett (John Jay), Megan Klein (Oakton College), Sarah Hoiland (Hostos Community College), Gabe Rosales (UC Irvine), and Calvin John Smiley (CUNY Hunter College).
