The Department of Sociology at the University of Southern California will be making one tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor. They are particularly interested in candidates who can expand their strengths in research related to political sociology, culture, and social theory. A doctoral degree is required by the time of appointment. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
