The Institute for Women’s Policy Research presents a webinar, "Understanding the Needs of Black Single Mothers in College," May 16, 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Hear about IWPR’s latest research into how college settings promote or inhibit the success of Black single mothers in college and hear from Black single mother students themselves as they share how they navigate and overcome their challenges every day.

The webinar presents highlights of an IWPR report, Advancing Equity in Attainment for Black Single Mothers in College: Understanding Their Needs and Supporting Their Success. The lead author on that report is Dr. Jennifer Turner, who participated in the DCSS Panel "DC Sociologists and Research for Social Transformation" in April 2023.

Register for the webinar on the IWPR website.
